SigmaNine.NET First Game Maker Competition
Yep, it's time for our first Game Making competition as SigmaNine.NET This competition is essentially just for fun but there are some prizes available that are not materialistic or money. Okay so without furthe ado lets discuss the scenario.

Competition Theme
The theme of this competition is "Earth in the Past". That essentially means the game must be set in the past. Choosing an event in history is not required but it'll probably help and be easier to come up with a game. There is no set genre for the game. "Earth" in the past doesn't mean it has to encompass the whole world either, it just has to be set on Earth.

Other rules
  • Your game must be programmed in Game Maker. (Any version)
  • Your game must be uploaded to www.sigmanine.net with "- S9GC01" added to the end of the game title. (You can upload your game to as many other sites as you want aswell, it doesn't have to be exclusive to SigmaNine.)
  • The total development time of your game may not exceed 24hours from the time you start.
However, you may if it helps you split the development time over two days giving you a maximum of 12 hours for day one and two.
  • You must post on here or include with your game the time you started making the game and the time you finished. If you used two days you will have to post the time spent each day.
  • The closing date for all entries is Monday the 25th of January 11:59pm GMT.

Judging
Your game will be judged by the members of the site for a week after the closing date. You should in this time try and promote your game as best possible(Upload it as many places as possible, send it to friends etc), and getting people to come and vote for you. You may not vote for your own game and their will be restrictions put in place to prevent people from doing this.

Prizes
There aren't many prizes for this competition and it's more just for fun to spur creativity. However, this is what the winner will receive:

  • Your game will be featured on the front page of SigmaNine.NET
  • Your game will be reviewed by legendary game creator NAL. Creator of such games as: madnessMADNESSmadness and the Innoquous series.
  • You will receive a medal on your SigmaNine profile.
  • You will have a virtual cookie placed next to your name for a period of time on SigmaNine.
